A hand-operated self-defense device comprising a first strap element for attachment to a palm of a hand, a second strap element for attachment to a wrist of the hand, further comprising a connecting element for connecting the first strap element to the second strap element, and a defense element connected to the connecting element or the first strap element wherein the defense element includes at least one support plate element wherein the at least one support plate element includes a plurality of tip elements arranged on the at least one support plate element so as to span a surface, wherein the at least one support plate element is arranged on the connecting element in such a way that it is configured to rest on the palm of the hand, wherein the defense element includes an evidence collection device, and wherein the evidence collection device includes an adhesive.
